Ausgangstext - Englisch One type of writing which has gained special attention is the so-called ‚Aljamiado‘ literature. These are works written in the Serbo-Croat language but in the Arabic script. (The name has been borrowed by modern scholars from similar non-Arab materials written in Arabic script in Muslim Spain.)
Throughout the period of Turkish rule the old bosančica script, the Bosnian alternative to standard Cyrillic, continued in use among the begs of Bosnia; it was also used for 300 years by the Franciscans; and Cyrillic printed works were also read by the Orthodox clergy in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries… The Aljamiado literature consists mainly of poetry of various kinds, written in Arab classical metres: religious poetry, verses with moral and social themes, and some erotic love poems as well.
The poets included dervish sheikhs, soldiers and women. One Aljamiado writer, Mehmed Havaji Uskufi (d. 1651), also compiled a Serbo-Croat-Turkish dictionary in verse – one of the oldest dictionaries of any south-Slav language. And apart from producing these written works, Muslims also played a large part in the creation and transmission of the rich heritage of folk poetry in Bosnia: ballads and laments (such as the famous Hasanaginica), epic poems, and the special genre of love-songs, equally popular among Muslims and Christians, known as sevdalinke.
Übersetzung - Bosnisch Jedna vrsta tekstova koja je uspjela privući posebnu pažnju bila je takozvana Aljamiado literatura. To su djela napisana na srpsko-hrvatskom jeziku, ali arapskim pismom. (Suvremeni učenjaci ovu su riječ posudili iz sličnih nearapskih djela napisana arapskim pismom u muslimanskoj Španiji.)
Tokom turske vladavine staro pismo bosančicu, bosansku alternativu standardnoj ćirilici, nastavili su koristiti begovi u Bosni. 300 godina koristili su je Franjevci, a djela štampana ćirilicom također je čitalo pravoslavno sveštenstvo u sedamnaestom i osamnaestom vijeku... Aljamiado literatura uglavnom se sastoji od razne vrste poezije, napisane prema klasičnim arapskim mjerilima: vjerske poezije, stihova moralnog i socijalnog sadržaja, kao i nekih erotičnih i ljubavnih poema.
Pjesnici su bili derviški šeici, vojnici i žene. Jedan Aljamiado pisac, Mehmed Havaji Uskufi (oko 1651. god.), sastavio je srpsko-hrvatsko-turski rječnik u stihu koji se ubraja među najstarije rječnike svih južno slavenskih jezika. Pored stvaranja ovih pisanih djela, muslimani su odigrali veliku ulogu i u stvaranju i prenošenju bogatog nasljedstva narodne poezije u Bosni: baladâ i tužaljki (kao što je poznata Hasanaginica), epskih poema i sevdalinki - posebne vrste ljubavnih pjesama, podjednako omiljenih i kod muslimana i kod kršćana.
