I am a freelance translator specialising in legal translations.
I studied Japanese Studies at Oxford University between 1991 and 1996, where I obtained high 2:1. I then qualified as a Solicitor and, between 1998 and 2012 worked in London, Tokyo, Bristol and Zurich as a solicitor with a wide range of Japanese clients. This included 1 year in-house at Itochu Corporation and 2 years at the bilingual Freshfields Tokyo Office, both of which provided me with many opportunities to work as a lawyer in English and Japanese simultaneously.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2007. |
