Bio
After finishing college in 1982, I studied law and graduated with a masters degree (meester in de rechten) in Dutch law in 1988. I have worked for several insurance companies and law firms for almost 21 years, both in the Netherlands and in Germany.

Since I have extensive professional experience in law in the two main languages, Dutch and German, and in both countries‘ legal systems, I am able to combine skills and personal interest. Law is therefore my main field of expertise.

To achieve greatest accuracy and consistency in my translations, I might ask you for additional information (context, sourcetext) about the texts that I’m entrusted with, because I believe that in order to achieve an accurate and correct translation, it is imperative that the translator understands the text that has to be translated.
