Evelien Snel graduated with a Master's degree in Electronics at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in 1988.
She started her career as a software engineer even before graduation and has worked in all stages of the software engineering process for several companies over the next 22 years.
Meanwhile she started working as a free-lance translator in 2000 and produced Dutch translations of several hundreds of technical articles for an international electronics magazine, did Dutch localisation of some software packages and made several miscellaneous translations.
