Ausgangstext - Deutsch SOMMERRODELBAHN
The Summer Alpine Slide manufactured by XY consists of a guide rail welded onto a round aluminum tube that is installed approximately 30 cm above the ground.
It is supported by a hot-dip galvanized steel frame and anchored to the ground with pegs.
The slide's course follows the contours of the ground and includes banked curves!
When installing the rails, a slope of at least 5% must be maintained. Otherwise, it will not be possible to get the sled moving. A safety clearance of at least 1.5 m from trees, bushes, embankments, the edge of the track, and other hazards must be maintained. Overpasses and underpasses are an exception and may have less clearance.
The sled has an aluminum frame and is covered with a polyethylene shell. The rider controls the speed of his or her sled by manipulating a control lever. If the rider releases the control lever, a spring-loaded brake will bring the sled to a stop. Disengagement of the spring-loaded brake is achieved by pressing the control lever with a force of approximately 30 N.
The sled is equipped with multiple features that prevent it from losing contact with the rail.
A radial brake limits the speed of the rollers in order to prevent the speed of the sled from exceeding 10 m/sec.
