As a German native speaker I have been a fulltime freelance translator and editor for German for almost 20 years. I hold the 1. Staatsexamen English from Oldenburg University (including 1 year in the UK). My language combination as a translator is English>German and I specialise in transcreation, marketing/ad adaptations, press releases, literature and magazine copy. I can help where style matters. Since I also work as a German editor and copywriter, you can be sure to get a text which is ready to publish. In the course of my career, I have completed many German and English marketing projects for renowned companies like Airbus, Jaguar, Triumph and LEGO. In the last two years, though, I shifted focus and now mainly work for American or British publishers and as a copywriter and editor for German end clients (governmental organisations, the tourism industry, publishing houses and museums).
