My name is Christian Bisi and I have a master's degree in Translation Studies English-Italian and German-Italian. I graduated at the University of Bologna's Department for Translation and Interpreting, the most prestigious in Italy, in 2001.

Since then I have worked as a freelance translator, gaining extensive experience in translating various texts into Italian and I have specialized in various fields, such as technical, automotive, food and beverage, marketing, tourism, and entertainment.

In the last few years, I have started focusing my professional experience in the entertainment industry, in particular in subtitling translation.

I currently collaborate with important companies in the field, such as Plint,  Acclaro, ZooDigital, SDI Media and Sfera.

I have a solid experience of subtitle translation and QCing of TV series, standalone films, documentaries and musical shows in particular. I can work both with offline subtitling software (VisualSubSync and Aegisub, to name a few) and with online platforms provided by my clients.

In  Acclaro I work with metadata and synopsis translation for Netflix, using online CAT software.

I have been part of Italian Subs Addicted, the largest Italian fansubbing community, since 2014, where I made my first experiences as a subtitler.

I have a good knowledge of CAT software, such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, and Wordfast Pro. 

I currently teach translation and interpreting at the Unversity in Mantova, Bologna, and Florence.

I am passionate about my job and able to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.
