I am an enthusiastic translator from German and French into English with a passion for words. I've been working as a full-time translator and author for over 20 years - that amounts to thousands of projects, millions of words translated, and many happy customers! I focus on two types of translations:

* My background is in IT and telecommunications. I worked at SAP's headquarters in Germany as a translator and subsequently as a technical author, writing complex documentation for system administrators and end users. I also worked as a technical author at PeopleSoft's offices in the UK before setting up my own company, Parpace Ltd, in 2001.

* I also focus on more creative translations that read like original texts: websites, marketing information and magazine articles specialising in interior design and furniture, hotels and tourism, food and lifestyle. These areas allow for greater freedom in terms of the expressive language used in my translations.

Subtitling is another area that I work in on a regular basis. I have subtitled many documentaries for a well-known production company that creates mixed-language programmes. I have also subtitled a number of French TV series and have created time-coded SRT files for silent movies and infomercials.

I am used to working to tight deadlines and always provide high quality work on time.
