Being from a Spanish family, I grew up in
Germany, where I went to school, made my professional formation, and went later
to university, so I am bilingual Spanish/German with a high proficiency in
English. From the very beginning of my professional
development, I used to work exclusively in international environments where
high language skills were crucial. Starting in the international logistics
operations, I continued with worldwide sales and distribution. At this stage, I
experienced the popularity of my interpretation skills during meetings/trade
fairs, resulting in becoming a part-time translator and interpreter during the
last ten years. During that time, I got qualified as a Spanish-German and English-German
translator by the Chamber of Commerce in Düsseldorf, Germany. Additionally, I
have studied International Business in the University of Applied Sciences in
Cologne, Germany. My career is based on two components – one is
the professional development in logistics, exports, marketing, finance, international
business and IT, the other is the linguistic path as a freelance interpreter
and translator. Being highly interconnected with each other, my international
business and IT knowledge widens my spectrum for translations, as my language
skills provide a high benefit in the world of economics. I am currently
working in part time as a trilingual IT consultant (remotely) and a freelance translator
/ interpreter with a high flexibility in my time management. At this stage
of my life, it is my wish to build up a future as a freelance translator and
interpreter in fulltime. |
