I am a native German speaker with a master’s degree in Molecular Biology and
about 8 years of experience translating content from various fields, but mainly
scientific content in the life sciences area.

I have always been passionate about anything related to language. For that
reason, I decided to work as a translator after finishing my Master’s program.
To gain experience, I worked in all kinds of fields for more than 3 years.

The desire to combine my background in molecular biology with my proficiency as a
translator made me join ProZ to work with more specialized translation agencies
in my specific field of expertise. I have been doing this for about 5 years
now, focusing on projects like IFUs, method sheets and communications in the
scientific and medical area.

In addition to my specialization in many areas of biology, with a focus on
molecular biology, I have a strong background in anything related to nutrition
and travel as I am very interested in both topics and never miss a chance to
learn something new. Furthermore, I am confident translating medical content – as
a biologist I naturally have a broad background knowledge in this area as well.

The CAT tool I mainly work with is SDL Trados 2022.

When I am not busy translating I enjoy taking long walks in nature
and practicing photography on the way, reading good books or planning my next
travel adventure.
