I am a freelance translator and interpreter residing, at the moment, in Göttingen, Germany.In 2000, I became a certified interpreter and translator after I already had a degree in Mathematics and GeographyI spent 19 years in Russia where I did translation work and interpreting for ELCROS Theological Seminary, studied and got a specialist's diploma "Linguist, translator and interpreter" at the Foreign Language Institute in St. Petersburg in 2006.My *interpreting* experience consists mostly of - lectures on theology and church-related subjects like psychology, pedagogy, music etc.- conferences and meetings- negotiations, councils, synods etc.- festivities, worship services, sermons- counselingOccasionally I worked for other clients in different areas. My *translating* experience consists mostly of- lecture materials and students' works / tests- books on theological and church-related topics, especially biblical sciences- correspondence- contracts and other legal texts- journals and newsletters I also worked on the layout of special publications, brochures, leaflets, sheet music and a service book.Since 2020 I am back in my home town in Germany and working as a freelance translator, which I also did - already as a certified translator - before leaving for Russia.
