In-house experience and achievements:
1. I translated/revised 23 mobile games from English into Italian, juggling multiple genres: fantasy, strategy, action-adventure, card battle, organized crime, space, racing, fighting.
Some of those games have been developed in partnership with globally known studios such as Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Studios.
2. As project manager at one of the top 10 language service providers in the world, I handled projects of different size with sometimes more than 15 languages running at the same time and complex processes in place.
Moreover, I covered 2 pioneer roles in my company division, where I created and implemented new processes to boost the productivity of the entire linguistic department and I monitored the compliance reports of the whole PM department in Berlin office, supporting PMs in their investigations of clients' complaints.
3. As language manager at one of the most creative translation and copywriting agencies in Europe (ranked among the top 100 European technology start-ups), I managed an average of around 200-250 projects per month in the fields of e-commerce, marketing, industry, transport, and two of the biggest accounts of the company.
Biggest project managed: over 150k words divided in several batches, with several steps and complicated processes.
I transcreated several slogans and advertising texts from German/English/French into Italian that appeared in Swiss television and advertisements. Moreover, I translated several brochures, catalogs, websites, social media profiles, journalism/publications, press releases, blogs, internal communications for Swiss companies.
Languages and culture knowledge:
1. Italian is my native language. Although I have not been living in Italy since 2012, I keep my native language and culture knowledge updated thanks to regular trips to my native country, by having daily contacts with Italian native speakers and reading/watching Italian news/videos.
2. I lived in Germany for around 10 years, and this allowed me to acquire a deep knowledge of the German language and culture.
3. I worked several years at US companies in Europe and I am very familiar with the North-American culture. English is my main communication language in my home environment - I mostly speak, read and watch videos in English in my daily life.
4. I am familiar with the French language and culture as well, as my native region is bordering France and I am doing regular trips to France. I also lived 1 year in Luxembourg.
5. I am currently based in Dubai, UAE, one of the top 10 most multicultural cities in the world.
