I specialise in legal, financial and business translations. I can translate from German, French and Italian into either US or British English. The kind of texts I work with: contracts, patents, law reports, research, pleadings, legal opinions, annual reports, financial statements, IPO documentation, feasibility studies, risk assessments, legal and business correspondence, circulars, brochures, prospectuses, specifications, electronics, telecom and software manuals, IT documentation of all types, insurance, reinsurance documentation of all types.

I am a native English speaker. However, I come from a German and French-speaking family and was brought up in the UK, with a lot of time spent in Switzerland. I trained and practised as a lawyer in England for ten years and then as a legal/financial translator for a Swiss Multinational. I have a postgraduate degree in Technical and Specialised Translation. I have a diploma in Marketing and Business Administration. I am a former member of ASSTI (Swiss Translators' Association), the ITI and the IOL, but I don't like the high fees such associations generally charge for membership. I can have translations certified and notarised for official purposes. I have a particular interest in software, IT and the Internet.
