I am writing to you, on behalf of the ABC Union Korea, to notify you of our desire to commence bargaining for a collective agreement to cover all union members employed by ABC Korea, with the management of ABC Korea. Please consider this correspondence that notice.
In order that this notice be consistent with the Labor Union Act and the Labor Relations Act;
l I am notifying you that we wish to commence bargaining for a collective agreement on Sunday, October 30, at 1pm at the ABC Samsung Learning Centre.
l I have enclosed a copy of our proposed collective agreement. (Please note that this has been endorsed by an overwhelming majority of teachers at ABC Korea at workplace meetings this week.)
l For the meeting of October 30, we propose the following agenda ?
i) outline of, and agreement on, bargaining process
ii) initial employer response to proposed collective agreement
iii) agree on next meeting and future meetings. (At this point we favour meeting weekly on Sundays until such time as agreement is reached).
l The ABC Korea Union bargaining team will be all the union’s officer bearer (3) plus (3) learning centre representatives. Please note that the learning centre representatives will vary from meeting to meeting.
For the sake of clarity, I would appreciate a response in writing to this letter, no later than Wednesday, October 26, so we can be adequately prepared for this meeting.
