BSc from University of Surrey (UK) in German, Swedish and Law. Freelance translator for 18 years from 1991 following 10 years in sales/marketing-related environments, including steel industry, press advertising, and wine.

Institute of Linguists Intermediate Diploma in French. Good knowledge of Italian (resident for 3 years) and some Russian.

Long-term clients include Swiss & Swedish law firms and the Swedish Institute (Stockholm).

Attended BDÜ's Summer School Rechtssprache summer 2006 and TÖI's Juridik för Tolkare och Översättare (Stockholm University) spring 2009.

From September 2009 to June 2013 occupied post as in-house German-English translator in a leading law-firm based in Frankfurt. From July 2013 employed in the languages division of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Returned to self-employed status June 2018.
