I have been working full-time as a translator and proofreader of French and German to English since 2000.

Qualifications
BA (Hons) Degree in Marketing and Modern Languages from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow - 1991
Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing - 1992
Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists - 1998
Member of the Institute of Linguists.
Qualified Member of the ITI, pass in the examination for German to English in 2015.

Experience
Before becoming a full-time translator in 2000, I worked in export sales roles in a variety of industries and travelled extensively (up to 7 months a year) throughout France and Germany. I spent 3.5 years from 2002-2005 working as an in-house translator with a specialist localisation company.

My specialist areas are - marketing, general business texts, exhibitions, press releases, websites, tourism, reports, cosmetics and beauty.
