Sittin' here with a trademark text that was translated from Chinese into English ... and I'm translating it into German.

Thus, some things might have been "lost in translation".

Anyway here's the context:

It's a power of attorney. German company tells Chinese trademark agency to apply (on company's behalf) for the deletion of a Chinese trademark that company wants to use.

The trademark agency is supposed to do everything that's ticked on a list (which, in this case, is only the deletion of the trademark - but I still have to translate the other items on the list, obviously :-)

Here are some list items:

- Registration
- Change of name /address of applicant/registrant
- Deleting items of products/services
- Change trademark agent
- Correcting items of trademark application/registration
- Assignment of registered trademark
- Renewal of registration
- Recording the pledge of trademark

My questions: What is the correct translation for "pledge of trademark"?
Is "recording" here the same as "registering"?
