Also good! Hope you'Re well Wendy!
disagree Birgit Gläser : Sorry, but spachtelfertig means you can/must apply spackle... so should be "ready to spackle"... ready to paint is "malfertig" (whereas "malerfertig" is the same as "spachtelfertig" from what I have seen...)

Verwendungszweck Spritz- und spachtelfertig eingestellte pastöse Spachtelmasse mit sehr geringem Eigengewicht und hohem Schichtdickenauftrag, die sich bis auf Null ausziehen lässt.

It could literally mean 'ready for a spatula' but since the spatula is used to put ex. filler into cracks in walls, 'ready to be filled in' sounds better, I think.

This is all done before the wall is painted.

Once the paint has dried your new plaster wall is ready to be filled. Rarely will you find new plaster that doesn't need a little filling here and there. Mix up some filler and using filling knives apply it to any cracks or holes that you can find.

If your crack is really fine, then get a spatula or knife into the crack to widen it enough to allow the filler to get in there and do its job.
