Ich stell mir das so vor, dass man erst den Kunststoffschutz der neuen Dose entfernen muss und dann "entriegelt", den Schutz-/Sicherungsring entfernt, damit man loslegen kann. Vielleicht wird hier deshalb "toggles" im Plural benutzt. Gibt es irgendwo eine Abbildung der Dose?

"Stift" leuchtet ein, wenn ich einen anderen Aufsatz benutzen will mit Düse bspw.

Sicherungsstifte
From the context it seems like these are the toggles that keep something secured. It is similar to a lynchpin, which is another kind of Sicherungsstift.
There may be a better term, but that's what makes the most sense to me.
