This is on the CV of an IT manager. I'm afraid I don't have any further description of his job duties:
Centre Régional d’Informatique Hospitalière Paris Nord et Ouest
Préparateur de travaux (1978 – 1980), puis Chef de salle dans le cadre du service d’exploitation de la paie (40 hôpitaux) et de la facturation (55 hôpitaux)
All the references I have found (including the KudoZ post for "responsable de salle"!) relate to the restaurant and hotel industries; this seems to be something different. Any ideas?
