Our interviewee is being asked to guess what the singer might be like:
He doesn't care, but I have to translate this stuff. Are there any pop-conscious teenagers out there who can do my translation for me?

bois ? clichs ?
woodwork - cliché or "stuff"
If it is all about an imagined small cabaret, woodwork deals with the decoration ( unless he means wood instruments - unlikely -).
Cliché stays as it is. Unless it sounds too highbrow in a teenager's mouth!

bois ? clichs ?
just wood for the background, but something really simple, none of that over-the-top stuff
I think it's just talking about a wooden stage or background scenery
and that they're not laying the scenery/special effects too thick

French term (edited):
bois ? clichs ?
Simple wooden decor/nothing conventional cornball
The tone is very casual and a bit flippant, so I would try to maintain that.
