How can I connect to the internet with my Android tablet?

I have one of these TalkTalk modems that you just press a button on the modem and your computer is then connected to the internet. However, my tablet insists on asking for a password that has at least 8 digits. Underneath my modem I found a 5 digit password, eg admin but the tablet does not read that. TalkTalk does not seem to know the answer as they do not support Android.

Does anyone have any ideas? Tks!

The password was inside the box
