I am about to certify my translation of various figures, lab notebook pages, and scrawled handwritten notes. For the most part, I format my translation such that I can insert the figures into the computer-generated page, creating a product that looks exactly like the original.

However, there are a few pages that are too messy to address in this manner. For my first informal translation of the really ugly handwritten texts, I handwrote the translation of the text right above the original German. Is it generally acceptable to certify this?



In addition, I \"translated\" many pages of charts. Instead of typing out dozens of columns of numbers, I translated the header and pasted it over the original, in effect reusing the original columnar information. Is it acceptable to certify this?
