I can't quite get my head around this. Do they mean the working rnage, or capacity or what? As a clue, in a table the Arbeitshub entry has "40cm" after it!!!

Mhm, I am also not sure what the piston has to do with the water level, but maybe there is any more context to clear this up?

Im Zusammenhang mit Schwankungen und Abweichungen habe ich Hub auch schon als "deviation" kennengelernt. Wenn der Wasserpegel also ein Minimum und ein Maximum hat, wird die Höhe wahrscheinlich schwanken, je nachdem, was das Gerät gerate macht.

Wobei ich denke, das "working range", wie Du es vorgeschlagen hast, auch OK ist.

Hier ist der Kolbenhub, auch Kolbenweg, gemeint, das heißt der Weg zwischen der obersten und untersten Kolbenposition, bzw. hier Wasserstand.
