Neben der genannten Schweizer Quelle sollte man auch mal die offiziellen Verordnungen der EU anschauen; dort heißt es so, also Mono- oder Tetrahydrat ist nicht direkt durch Bindestrich verbunden, sondern wird nach dem Komma hinzugefügt (s. S. 6 der pdf)

Siehe auch meine Antwort zum Zinksulfat. Es sind mehrere Schreibweisen möglich, auch Mangansulfat-monohydrat oder Mangansulfatmonohydrat sind akzeptabel.
