I'm just a little baffled as to how my suggestion is in any way an unfaithful (or even "weithergeholt"!) translation that *doesn't* stick to the ST (and I've given a quite forensic explanation of why I believe it's not!).

Anyway, I see little benefit to going round in circles on this (and don't want to keep spamming all the other answerers who'll have received all these discussion box updates) - enjoy the rest of your day!

"Wohntrends" is such a tricky term in German, isn't it? From the rest of the text, it's clear that we're talking about interiors (rather than "homes" more broadly), and I couldn't agree more with Cillie that "living trends" (!) simply doesn't work in EN. "Interior design" is a nicely broad catch-all here, just like "Wohntrends".

With apologies for taking over the discussion box - it's so often beneficial, to all concerned, to be able to discuss things in more detail than the limited "response" field allows!

David - I'd be very interested in your response to this, as we seem to be interpreting the text (and the task at hand) very differently!

"auf Lager" is clearly being used semi-metaphorically here: it's a nice play on words that spins off the literal meaning of having the literal products in stock, but goes slightly above and beyond that, too. Essentially, it's saying "are you bang-on trend with the products you offer? If so, come to our trade fair/read our brochure [or whatever is on offer here!] etc.".

"Fully stocked" works wonderfully neatly in English here: it's an incredibly common phrase (almost 2 million Google hits!) and it captures the semi-metaphorical meaning of the German nicely. After all, what's the alternative? Partially stocked? Just plain "stocked" doesn't work the same way in the semi-metaphorical context.

And, of course, let's not forget the rest of the sentence - these companies have everything "von der Küche bis zum Wohnzimmer". With this remarkable suite of products, and the structural emphasis of the "von...bis" construction, it does really rather sound like they're emphasising the breadth of their range. Or, in other words, that they're "fully stocked"...
