Der Profilierung zugejubelt wird? Please also see my next question as I do not completely grasp the precise meaning of Verantwortlichkeit (responsibility? accountability?) in this sentence.


DECH:
Die Physiotherapieausbildung baut auf die internationalen und nationalen Absprachen und Positionierungen in Bezug auf:

1.

die Europäische Bachelor-Master Struktur und

2.

das Berufsprofil und den Kompetenzen eines Physiotherapeuten auf.

In diesem Teil A wird der Inhalt der Physiotherapieausbildung beschrieben durch:

1.

die Kompetenzen in Zusammenhang bringen mit Fächern und Themen

2.

den Umfang der Fächer und Themen anzudeuten

3.

den Inhalt der Fächer und Themen anzugeben

In der Unterrichtsgestaltung werden spezifische Fachinhalte nicht immer und alleine als separates Fach organisiert, aber gerade auch integriert innerhalb eines Themas.

Dieses Thema ist dann abgestimmt auf physiotherapeutisches Handeln in einer bestimmten Berufssituation.

Die Übersetzung von Kompetenzen in virtuelle Fächer und Themen bleibt dabei genauso wichtig.

Nicht zuletzt für nationale Abstimmung und für internationale Vergleiche und Erkennungsabsichten.

Eigene Verantwortung der individuellen Ausbildung

Da jede Ausbildung seine eigene Verantwortlichkeit hat und der ***Profilierung zugejubelt*** wird, unterscheidet sich die Formgebung der Ausbildung und cs werden auch Akzente gelegt.

Der Inhalt der Ausbildung, wie hier beschrieben, gibt an, was im allgemeinen Sinn anwesend ist.

In der Formgebung ist der Inhalt unterschiedlich positioniert.

Das ist gut, da es dadurch Auswahlmöglichkeiten gibt.


American English would be preferable, British English is welcome, too, though.

This looks like it's been written from a broader perspective, not the perspective of the individual. No matter which applies, most sources I've seen (https://sturmer.at/profilierung/) tend to point to profile raising, which seems to make the most sense in this context.

Also, 'zugejubelt' suggests a hint of sarcasm or detachment which should be reflected in the translation.

Here's another idea for translating the concept:

- touted as a necessity

"Given that each educational program has responsibility for its own curriculum and profile raising is touted as a necessity (for success), there will be differences in program design as each institution develops its own focus."

Zustimmung  D. I. Verrelli: Something like developing a Unique Selling Point, I'm thinking. Literally looks like "celebrated" or "cheered", but "encouraged" sounds fine.

  -> Yes, I felt that 'encouraged' would sound more natural in English, could even go with 'strongly encouraged' to get more of the meaning across.
Zustimmung  Jennifer Caisley: I think you're spot on with "specialis/zation" - I think, here, it's much more about "developing a profile" (i.e. specialising) / Just clocked the heading "den Inhalt der Fächer und Themen" - seems to support your reading (tho a bit of a vague text!)

Neutraler Kommentar  D. I. Verrelli: Your explanations make good sense, but I am not keen on the phrase "has become a hot topic", because it doesn't make it clear whether it's desired or undesired. Just like something "controversial" could be good or bad.

  -> True, this doesn't spell it out on the literal level and it could be used in a sense that suggests undesirability, But the opposite is more common, especially if the context makes that clear (as it does here).
