Deutsch term

v. u. g. / b. u. g.

Deutsch > Englisch Rechts- und Patentwesen Recht (allgemein) agreement
In a court document arranging child custody, the second-to-last page has "v. u. g." centered at the bottom and the last page has "b. u. g." centered at the top.

Any idea what these mean?

Thanks in advance!

sorry, posted my question before I saw your clarification.
Jane Luther Feb 20, 2006:
might it be a typo? b and v are next to each other on the keyboard...
Erik Macki (asker) Feb 20, 2006:
Whoops: Sorry, it's v. u. g. (apparently "vorgelesen und genehmigt") and b. u. v. (still don't know what that is).

Deutsch term (edited): v. u. g. / b. u. v.

..../ "beschlossen und verkundet" - ruled and so ordered

Whether "ruled and so ordered" is correct in legal terms I'm not too sure, but the German definition seems to fit, and comes from the Duden "WB der Abkürzungen".
