EXCELLENCE: the journey of a lifetime.

Being a native German bilingual in French/German, I have lived and worked in France for more than 30 years now.

I started back in 1990 as an in-house translator and interpreter for the European AIRBUS construction company Aérospatiale, and then occupied the same position working for pyrotechnics manufacturer Ruggieri-Lacroix, both companies based in the South of France.

I then rapidly evolved into the same function, becoming the interface between Executive Managers of the two French factories and the Executive Board of the Austrian EGGER Group. 

As part of this position, I was also trained as a Quality manager and Auditor according to the ISO 9001:2000 standards and as such, I contributed to redesign and reorganize the group's quality management system (now more than 11,000 people in 22 plants across the world). 

From 2009 on, I "grew" into new functions as an Export Sales manager (for Germany) and also Customs certifications (AEOC & AEOS) Project manager, working in the headquarters of "Société Européenne de Logistique", a freight forwarding company based in Bordeaux, with subsidiaries in Spain, Germany and Italy.

Since October 2022, I have worked as a freelance linguist in language pairs EN, DE, FR into DE, FR.

My core competences and areas of expertise are: 

- Quality management & Risk management;

- Linguistics, in particular French (my score in the French spelling and grammar "Voltaire" certificate is 95% (I rank in the top 1% out of more than 360,000 certified native French-speaking people) and German, my native language.

Being really passionate about linguistics, and continuously striving for excellence, I keep working to improve my language skills:

For German, I currently work with a lead German linguist of the FSZ (Department of Foreign Languages) of the Leipniz university in Hannover on the extremely tricky German hyphenating rules.

I think my main strength, apart from my great intellectual curiosity, is my exceptional adaptability!

I love and am capable of exploring new horizons with excellent results. This is what keeps me going.
