We want to get you involved! Think of something that really interests you and we will fashion your class around your favourite topics.
We start with reading a controversial article, watching a new (or old, but gold) TED Talk or acclaimed documentary and then structure the class around the material… When you talk about something you love, that inspires you, that sparks up your interest, you naturally want to express yourself and automatically make much more of an effort even if you are not speaking in your mother tongue.
With these approaches, we actively encourage reading, comprehension and conversation. Comprehension and discussion questions adapted to the material, allowing focus on developing opinion, debating / discussion vocabulary, as well as examining new vocabulary and expressions.

Translator / teacher by trade, I am a free spirit at heart and as such enjoy creative and educational translations most of all. Translator, proof reader and editor of a wide range of various texts from English to German and vice versa with 16 years (and to a somewhat lesser extent Spanish to German / English) of experience as a linguist. Being a very detail-oriented professional with strong work ethics, willing and able to adapt to new and/or demanding challenges creatively and client focused, I have a background in teaching, translation, proofreading, terminology, editing and research. Trained optician, bachelor's degree in Environmental Management and Human Geography, substantial experience as executive assistant and former English teacher, I am currently offering translation, proofreading, and various other language-related services in the educational and web design / corporate identity sector.
