I am an experienced French-English & German-English translator, specialising in international relations, medical, pharmaceutical & technical translations. I also offer proofreading and editing services.

I founded Taylor Translations in 2010, after having passed the CIOL Diploma in Translation (FR-EN) and having worked for over 20 years in a variety of roles using my language skills in different industries ranging from engineering through to publishing, encompassing textile buying, freight forwarding and higher education.
Since starting out, I have obtained extensive experience in medical, pharmaceutical and technical translation in both French and German. Some examples of the type of documents I have translated are below:
Pharmaceutical/technical: clinical trial documentation (SmPCs, PILs, protocols, clinical trial agreements, IBs), patient questionnaires, instructions for use, market research questionnaires and responses, surgical procedures, CVs, labelling, medical device manuals, validation documentation and sterilisation procedures.
Medical: articles in journals, discharge summaries, patients' notes and consultants' reports for cardiology, radiology, oncology, CT-scans, ultrasound reports, nephrology, joint replacement and dental implants.
International relations: papers on economic, social and global affairs with a particular emphasis on northern and Francophone Africa.
I became a Chartered Linguist (Translator) with the CIOL in 2018 and a Qualified member of the ITI in 2019. I obtained ISO 17100:2015 qualified status in 2019 too. I am a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and the Institute of Scientific & Technical Communicators (ISTC).
