interlanguage was founded in Modena in 1986 by a group of translators and interpreters sharing a feel for the business and a vision of the future. Over the years, the company grew steadily to become a flexible language services provider recognised for its high levels of competence, specialisation, and efficiency.
It is one of the first Italian translation centres to gain certification of its internal Quality System in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, while the Translation Service is certified to UNI EN ISO 17100:2017 and the Interpreting Service to Italian standard UNI 10574:2007.
interlanguage today is composed of an efficient and dynamic team of project managers/revisors and engaged primarily in control and coordination functions and interacting with a network of more than 1,000 external freelancers generating an annual output of more than 12 million words on the translation side of the business alone.
Around 60% of turnover is currently derived from foreign customers, with a special focus on the Swiss market. In March 2019 interlanguage joined the Transline Group, top player in the languages services in Germany. Since then, the company is experiencing a strong growth in terms of both turnover and technology.
