Having been raised bilingually in Germany, I have always been interested in studying languages and finding out about different cultures.

But what I like most about translating is that it gives me the possibility to facilitate communication between people.

I studied Applied Languages at Saarbruecken university with a stint as an Erasmus student at Dublin City University.

I hold a degree in Information Systems from Trinity College, Dublin.

My main thesis deals with Information Security and different aspects of attacks on networks and how to keep computers safe. My studies gave me the opportunity to work in several technical roles for Compaq/HP. Accenture Ireland, SDL and as a UAT software tester / Process specialist for Microsoft Business Solutions.Through my work experience I gained valuable insight in the workings of the IT industry.

While living in India I had the opportunity of working in interesting and Challenging roles as a Marketing executive and at the Royal Danish Embassy.

I have been working as a freelance translator since march 2005 for several projects like translation of BPM software strings,marketing websites, User guides for BPM software, translation ofQ&A for Wikianswers, solicitors' correspondences with the Irish department of justice and equality, educational translations, Marketing translations etc. for translation agencies and companies in the UK,Ireland and India
