Als powwow leek me het eerste idee (Brugge) veel interessanter. Op een liefdadigheidsfeest kunnen we minder makkelijk als vertalers onder mekaar over het vak praten, lijkt me. Kunnen we de originele plannen niet handhaven? Wie wil, kan dan nog altijd naar het feest gaan om het goede doel te steunen...

Els, ik begrijp perfect wat je bedoelt, maar misschien was ik niet duidelijk:
de bedoeling is dus wel dat we eerst ten huize van Youp Kila samenkomen en daar een paar uurtjes brainstormen en van gedachten wisselen over wat ons aanbelangt.
En nadien koppelen we het nuttige & aangename aan het aangename & nuttige.
En uiteraard kunnen we op een later tijdstip (bv. in september) nog eens in Brugge samenkomen; en wie weet misschien ook eens in Brussel of elders?

Antwerpen klinkt leuk, al vind ik het bij nader inzien toch niet zo ideaal dat we alweer beroep doen op Youp's grenzeloze gastvrijheid. Dit brengt toch een pak werk met zich mee...
De werken in Antwerpen vormen een tweede, ietwat bezwarend element (enig idee hoe we op die beide bestemmingen moeten geraken??? - ik niet...)
Derde element: Els haalt wel een goed punt aan, het zou inderdaad leuker zijn om met alle Prozzies samen gewoon wat ongedwongen tijd door te brengen en over ... Derde element: Els haalt wel een goed punt aan, het zou inderdaad leuker zijn om met alle Prozzies samen gewoon wat ongedwongen tijd door te brengen en over allerlei onderwerpen van gedachten te wisselen en gewoon plezier te maken bij een natje en een droogje, zonder dat we daarbij van het ene adres naar het andere moeten hollen. Het zou gewoon heel wat relaxer zijn.
Zou het niet mogelijk zijn om dit gewoon democratisch te beslissen aan de hand van een lijst pro's voor Brugge en een lijst pro's voor A'pen, zodat iedereen toch discreet zijn mening kwijt kan? Is dit technisch mogelijk op de Proz website? Zo hebben we gelijk een concreet idee van het aantal potentiële deelnemers/aanwezigen want nu zitten we toch wat in het ijle te kletsen vind ik...

Desnoods doen we toch gewoon beide?

I do feel that it is rather unfortunate after all the time it took to decide on June 13th that we are now changing the date again.
we are there to talk other "Proz members" (I hesitate to use the word Prozzie).

First of all, I wish to thank Evert for supporting the Vrouwlief charity evening to help Afghan women by providing them a safe place to meet, study and receive medical aid. As I read your comments, I understand a change of date, place and concept is not convenient for everybody.
I admit that meeting in a city as Bruges is an offer one can hardly refuse! But a warm welcome in Youp's house (thank you Youp for your hospitality) with plenty of time for networking and brainstorm... See more Dear All,

But a warm welcome in Youp's house (thank you Youp for your hospitality) with plenty of time for networking and brainstorming, a walking diner in the historical Zuiderpershuis followed by a dance for charity will make a powwow to remember.
Unfortunately I can't change the date. The event has been put on the Zuiderpershuis program since March.
Let us know your preference by May 1. If after all we shall meet in Bruges, I will be happy to present the Afghan project and to invite you to join us at the charity event. In good collaboration,

Listen up you guys and girls: You don't have to come to Antwerp. As Evert said we can do both things. However for those who prefer Antwerp I will gladly host the apero and the talk so later on everybody can go to the Zuiderpershuis. Luckily my home is still easy to reach from the infamous Antwerp ring. And one can walk from here to the ZP. So that is no difficulty.
However, for those who can't make it to Antwerp, why not have a second Powwow in Brugge? What's against having two in a row?...
