Good Jan 3, 2019

Although a bit slower than previous years, but that was OK and I still earned enough to get by. In mid-December I had one largish translation which made up for a slow November. Swings and roundabouts...

The fourth quarter had the usual ups and downs: October was very good, November not so, December was good...

Very slow Jan 3, 2019

The fourth quarter is normally my busiest time of year, but in 2018 it was the slowest by far. I do worry that it is the Brexit effect creating uncertainty and leading clients to postpone projects. 2019 is not a year that I am looking forward to from both a business and a personal perspective.

This was probably my slowest Q4 in 5 years - when it comes to freelance translation Jan 3, 2019

Partially as I was busy, working IRL with a huge client, and couldn't reply mails from 9-5

Partially because X-mas weeks wasn't totally crazy with 100s of projects - as usual - for some reason (maybe an effect of the above)

Very good Jan 4, 2019

I had more work than I could handle. I got really stressed out and requested a 30-day break in November. My clients were back at my door exactly 30 days later without my even letting them know I was back in business.

Good Jan 4, 2019

There were ups and downs, but the average income stayed about the same.
