Hi everybody, I just downloaded Studio 2014 and it looks good; however, I cannot open MultiTerm. Not by clicking on "Terminologieverwaltung", not by double clicking the desktop symbol. I deinstalled and reinstalled it - nothing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Miriam

I have the 2009 version, and have had the same problem since then. So I am really hoping that someone will provide a really easy to understand solution. I would be so grateful.

Have you checked your Java Settings? Under the Security tab, set to Medium. Cheers, Bernard

Control Panel | Oct 5, 2013 |
I don't know what OS you're using but as a rule Open Control Panel -> Java -> click on Java -> Security tab, set to Medium, default is High or Very High. HTH, Bernard

Do you mean you can't open Multiterm 2014? And when you talk about installing/uninstalling do you mean Multiterm or Studio? I'm sorry if this is too obvious, but the fact that these are two separate programs that require separate installations has been a known source of confusion.

Yes, I am talking about Multiterm 2014. Studio works fine.

I read somewhere that my Canon Printer might be the problem; I uninstalled Multiterm on my Laptop, uninstalled the Printer, reinstalled Multiterm - still does not open. I'm a bit desperate here Miriam

Thanks for the tip, Jutta, I will try that as soon as I've found out how to delete the Java update Why does everything have to be so complicated!
Start --> Systemsteuerung --> Programme und Funktionen --> Scroll to Java --> Select Java 7 --> Select deinstall (thats the way under Windows 7) And if the problem isn't due to Java 7 you can simply reinstall ist...:-) All these problems did produce me some nightmares, too.... And now it was so easy to solve - at least in my case. Hopefully in yours, too!!!
