With TV solution you can use one TM at the same time.
That's the point here. Are you sure you can? Have you tested it extensively? Does it work flawlessly every time? Can you see TUs added minutes before? If yes, then it's great but I have my doubts. I'm also not sure how it works exactly. So far I assumed that it syncs the files between the two computers, but maybe it tries to read the files on computer A from computer B over the internet instead of periodically syncing them to computer B and then allowing Trados to read them offline. I'm generally not a fan of that solution as noted above. I also doubt that two people can update the same TM file simultaneously and not have access conflicts.
Re: TV vs. Dropbox setup, dropbox is definitely simpler. When you start talking about getting into advanced settings, installing drivers and entering IP addresses, there is no comparison. Not to mention the fact that a lot of people have dropbox already. Not that it matters much, it should only be necessary to do it once.
As to the dual TM setup, it takes ten seconds. Instead of creating one TM for the project as usual, you create two.

I don't think so. It took me less than five minutes to download, install and config TV.

It's out for me personally then, but others could very well be happy with it

Doesn't mean less tech savvy people won't have trouble with it, or that tech problems can't arise.
