Hello,

I'm new to Trados Studio 2014 and I'd like to start using this instead of Trados 2007 for translating .ttx files. Hello,

I'm new to Trados Studio 2014 and I'd like to start using this instead of Trados 2007 for translating .ttx files. I know how to open .ttx files in Studio and save them in the same format, however, the client always send an ini file with each job and I don't know how to set this in Studio. I've been told that all I need to do is import the ini in Studio, but how exactly do I do this? On several sites there are lengthy instructions about this along with explanations about settings I'm unsure of how to set.

All I want to do is open the .ttx files received from the client with the correct ini settings and send back the translated files in the same format - just like I would in TagEditor.

I read somewhere that it's possible to open the .ttx i TagEditor with the correct ini, then save it and open it in Studio, but I'd like a solution that doesn't involve using TagEditor.

Thanks a lot!

No .ini files are needed in Studio

This has been discussed many times for various versions of Studio:
