Hello all,

I wonder if anyone can assist me with this? I am having difficulties opening a bilingual Trados Workbench file in Trados Studio. I need the source and target as I will be proofreading the target against the source. It is a .docx document.

I get the following errors (in one box):

Error: This file contains "tw4winMark" style used to mark up bilingual documents.
Error: Segmented paragraph structure is invalid.

I tried opening it as a .doc and a .rtf, but I simply get "file type not supported". Should Trados Studio handle Workbench documents?

I did indeed already read these articles, and noted the following section:

"The error refers to the exact location within the document. The issue is caused by normal text between the segment limiter having the segment limiter formatting tw4winMark. SDL recommend that you correct the main issue in the bilingual Word document itself."

However the document is 150 pages long, so this option could be like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Also to confirm, should Studio 2011 usually be backwards compatible with Workbench?

Found a workaround.. Jun 7, 2016

I have found a workaround now by translating the source file using the TM, but would still be interested in knowing if there is a fix for this issue, or if Studio 2011 simply isn't compatible with Workbench.
