I need your urgent help! I've scanned a document which is in jpg now and I need to convert it doc to be able to translate it in word.

I believe you need OCR software Oct 2, 2007

I think it's the only (and the quickest) solution.

I use Abbyy Finereader for conversion of images to text.

Check your scanner's software Oct 2, 2007

You might also check if any OCR software was bundled with your scanner. Even if Abby might be better, the one which came with scanner may be enough for your needs.

I can thoroughly recommend Abbyy Finereader, pick up a cheap copy 2nd hand off Ebay, can be found for $10 if you're lucky.
