These are the types of questions I am trying to answer:

How many professional simultaneous interpreters are there in the world (across affiliations)? what is the language break-down? and the country break-down?

I checked the AIIC website, where they report nearly 3000 members worldwide in 2010, but there are many other professionals out there who are not AIIC memberl; also, AIIC is strongly Europe-oriented, and I am looking for general global data

Can anyone help me locate reliable info?

Many thanks in advance fo your help
Kind regards

Also, if you seek any information on telephone interpreting, you can obtain a free copy of my book upon sign-up for a free newsletter on interpreters (www.interprenaut.com).

Hope this is helpful!
