Hello,
One of my clients has some data in Japanese language in Oracle and he can view it. When he exports the data from Oracle to an Excel file, he is unable to view the Japanese script in the Excel file. I am not familiar with how the Oracle data export works, but here are a few ideas:
It must be that the text is exported with the wrong encoding, for example Western instead of Japanese (e.g. JIS, Shift JIS, etc).
Is there an option when he is exporting from Oracle to set the encoding of thee data?
What is the OS he is using when he is exporting the data?
Is it Windows, is it UNIX, and what version (number and language) of that?
