Have a great evening everyone!
Am I the only one wondering why these things usually happen at around 5 minutes to clocking-off time in Buenos Aires, on a Friday?
It really does muck up a good weekend, with nowt on the tele besides football.

For a few moments now I've been wondering why it was impossible for me to agree with given answers.
Seems like all we can do is wait until the glitch will be eliminated - which shouldn't take long.
Have a great weekend. | | |
Hi!
Ok, now that you mention it I'm glad I checked the forum to see what was going on. I tried agreeing with a few answers and found that red note saying that I needed at least 20 Pro point to do so (which I do).
Hope it gets fixed soon.

I am getting up tomorrow at 6 am sharp to watch Argentina play! Watched the two games today too. I watch every single game, every world cup!

Yes, Friday night is the favored time for these tech jobs (the period with the least traffic is generally over the weekend), but I don't think it is a glitch since there is already a red note indicating the upcoming new feature (of limitations) which will surely be announced Monday morning.
No TV here, but we can pop in a scary movie now and eat ice cream! : )
Have a great weekend all.

I didn't know the "in case you were wondering...." part was going to show up in the title. Now I know to keep my dumb jokes for the second or third sentence when posting a new topic.
"The" upcoming feature? | Jun 12, 2010 |

I thought it was a bug so I sent in a support request, which now seems to have been unnecessary.
Is this really going to be a new feature or is this just a glitch from testing that was carried out (just before techies knocked off for the weekend )?
Are changes now being announced in advance to a select group and not to all members of the site? I hope that's not the case.
PS-has this thread already been removed from the 'recent posts' pages or is it just me who can't find it (unless I click on Kudoz forum).?

Good morning,
I understand it is a trial version for the moment...
I've got two remarks;
1. I've just spent some time to find out what was going on and there is nothing about this change in the KudoZ rules - maybe a trial version or a more visible announcement would prevent people from sending help requests?
2. I've looked through some KudoZ this morning and each and every time I get the "In order to post in the ask-the-asker box and peer grade other users' answers... See more Good morning,
I understand it is a trial version for the moment...

2. I've looked through some KudoZ this morning and each and every time I get the "In order to post in the ask-the-asker box and peer grade other users' answers in this question, users should have at least 20 PRO points in the corresponding language pair.". However, in the pairs I was looking at, I have over 20 PRO points... The message seem to appear at each and every question and I have no possibility to discuss or agree, which means that if I want to contact an asker I would have to send him/her an e-mail or simply not care about his/her breaking rules and doubts. What are the rules for those 20 PRO points block?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Have a nice day!

Has the site informed (some) members it's a trial version? | Jun 12, 2010 |

Marcelina.
Are you assuming it's a trial version or do you know that it's a trial version? Was this announced officially in a recent newsletter sent to everyone (in which case it's my fault for not seeing it)?

No, I've heard nothing either, nor can I agree or diagree in questions in which I definitely have over 20 points. I assume it's a glitch.
A great opportunity for wild-guess answerers | Jun 12, 2010 |
but not such a great opportunity for Askers who rely on peer comments to decide which answer is best.
Fwiw, it seems that someone from the site staff is usually on duty to monitor the site during weekends (someone already removed this forum post from the front page/recent posts) but with the World Cup, maybe their attention will be elsewhere this weekend?. Of course it is still early in Argentina.
