[I searched the archives but found nothing, so if this has already been covered, please let me know.]

I only accept Japanese to English translation work, but I speak a few other languages, and would like to have Kudoz questions in those languages (not _all_ languages, though) sent to me. Is there a way to set it up so that I can have questions in, say, five sets of languages sent to me?

Thanks,
Marc

add languages to your profile Mar 16, 2006

Hi Marc,
You need to add those languages to your profile as "languages of interest". They will only be visible to you, not to others who visit your profile.
On your profile page select "Edit languages" and add those pairs. On that page click on "Hide from profile" for each pair. These are now what we call 'pairs of interest' (as opposed to your working pairs). Then go to the KudoZ dashboard (from the 'My ProZ.com' tab select 'My Dashboard'), go to the 'KudoZ dashboard' tab, a

I hope that helps.

Hi Marc,

4. How do I enter "languages of interest"?

Enter the language pair from your profile page, as you normally would. From the same page, click on the toggle arrow under the column labelled "Show in profile". A language pair that is entered but not shown in the profile is a "language of interest." This feature allows you to track KudoZ questions or jobs in language pairs in which you do not offer professional services.
