I asked one KudoZ question which I marked as "not for points", however now I keep receiving reminders to choose the most helpful answer as happens to those questions which are for points. Yet when I follow the link I see that I cant choose that most helpful answer for the simple reason that it was not for points to start from.

So my question basically is - is this normal that those reminders about choosing the answer keep on arriving? Or is this some bug?

If you asked a not-for-points question, you should still choose the answer that has been most helpful to you, but you don't assign points. You can also make a glossary entry. Please see this FAQ, # 39, in particular.

The problem is the link.

It happened to me recently and I even submitted a Support Request before I noticed where was the problem.

Don't use the link provided in the reminders because it doesn't let you see any option to select the best answer. Remove everything that is after the number of the KudoZ question. You must be logged in and your link should look like this

Then you should be able to select the most helpful answer, not for points, just to thank the answerer and maybe for the glossary.

Thank you very much for explaining me the reasons and suggesting what to do.:) I think in my case it was that I followed the link and couldnt do anything (which confused me big time) so now I will be smarter next time I choose to ask a not for points question.
