KudoZNet not working after new install on Win98

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed KudoZNet and cannot get it to run. Whenever I start it I get an error message (see below). What gives?



I\'m running Windows 98 2nd ed. in German on a Toshiba Satellite Pro with 320 MB RAM. Installation was after cold boot, no other programs running during install or start of KudozNet.

Same problem Jan 20, 2003

I\'ve downloaded Kudoz.net several times but nothing seems to work. The installation seems fine but after that the program doesn\'t run. I officially give up.

PS. However I hope a new version will work.

It works but I can't see the terms Jan 29, 2003

I got it to work but when I download the terms I can\'t see the list, so I have to check one by one to see which ones I can answer.

Also when I answer any it takes too long to get it posted it so someone else gets the points.

which Windows version do you run?



Usually, if KudoZ.NET runs, it runs well. The display problems could be related to the Font used. Please check whether the Font \"Tahoma\" is present in the sub-directory \"Fonts\" of your Windows directory.

Thanks to Hermann Bruns - Kudoz.Net works fine now Jan 30, 2003

Hermann sent me a set of files around fm20.dll to replace the ones on my system. First attempt was unsuccessful, but his second mail worked just fine and Kudoz.Net now runs on my PC.

I run Windows 98 and I do have the font "Tahoma". I couldn't make it work again so I uninstalled it Feb 1, 2003

KudoZ.net hangs on Win 98 after fresh install May 5, 2003

I am experiencing the same problem. I just downloaded Kudoz.Net, it downloads fine and installs perfectly. I reboot the computer, and it hangs.



Can the fm20.dlls and/or any other dlls required be mailed to me as well, or can I download them somewhere?

Laufzeitfehler 52?? Jun 20, 2003

Having just installed KudoZNet all I get is a message "Laufzeitfehler 52 : Dateiname oder -nummer falsch". What does this mean and what can I do to get it working?

Thanks for any help!


By the way, I'm astonished to see everything in German in my KudoZNet...

Note: I forgot to say that I'm using Windows 98.
