Hi!
I hope this is the right section for my question... I have just finished editing my profile in English, but I'm not wholly satisfied with it. I know this language very well when it's about reading books or listening to music, tv and movies, but when it comes to writing and speaking I feel always ill at ease (lack of exercise, I think). My English sounds always awkward to me...

I would be glad to have someone (English-native) revise my profile for me.

As a native English speaker, I see nothing wrong with your profile.

Bonne chance.

Thank you, Jack!
My lack of exercise doesn't even make me see how good I am
Seriously, it's not that easy for me to have occasions to practise my English. I checked all entries in my profile more than once, but I needed an authoritative comment on it.

I also see no problems with your profile.

Best!

In the last three years I have seldom written something in English, even though I'm graduating in English literature. That's why I was not sure about the correctness of my profile.

Great, except for... Oct 26, 2005

I thought your profile read well except for one phrase (and I'm being picky here):

"As a bilingual translator, I am at the same time very accurate and fast."

The placement and phrasing of "at the same time" sounds awkward to me. You could put "I am both accurate and fast" or something similar.

Just my opinion though - the rest looks good. Hope that helps!

Excellent Oct 26, 2005

as everone else has confirmed, Michèle. May I make one or two minor suggestions.

Italian/French, HTML/CSS: Nothing wrong with using the "/" but Italian does tend to use it instead of "and" much more than English.

(=French): Use of the "=" in this sense is not common English usage.

Very good writing skills; Very good knowledge: This sounds a little weak to me, i.e. better than average but not the best. I would stick to "Good" or "Excellent".

In my former life, I read and evaluated thousands of CVs, so this is the sort of thing I used to notice (not that I am suggesting my own page is in any sense a good example!)

A picture of some sort, even if it isn't your photograph, does make the page more appealing.

Best wishes.
