Due to a recent spate of abuse, we have had to introduce vetting into the job system. Jobs posted by those not on a "whitelist" must be approved by ProZ.com moderators or staff before they become publicly available.

At the moment, the whitelist consists of all logged in members who meet the following criteria:

- Platinum membership, OR
- Verified identity, OR
- Posted 2 or more jobs in the past 3 months, none of which were removed due to being inappropriate

Due to a recent spate of abuse, we have had to introduce vetting into the job system. Jobs posted by those not on a "whitelist" must be approved by ProZ.com moderators or staff before they become publicly available.

At the moment, the whitelist consists of all logged in members who meet the following criteria:

- Platinum membership, OR
- Verified identity, OR
- Posted 2 or more jobs in the past 3 months, none of which were removed due to being inappropriate, AND if the poster has any blue board ratings, the average rating must be 3 or higher.

Please note that job vetting is intended only to screen out non-job postings. ProZ.com is not vouching for the job poster in any way; you are still on your own to determine whether any given job poster is someone you want to do business with.

I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. I'd also like to extend a big thank you to the jobs area coordinators and moderators, who just took on a lot more voluntary work in order to keep the ProZ.com jobs system free from abuse. Thank you!

Regards,

jg

Great! Sep 9, 2003

Very good call. This will enhance the job bidding experience for everyone involved, and should ultimately attract more postings. Keep up the good work!
