Can anyone recommend (from personal experience) a tool for converting PDFs to MS Word 2003 format that does not corrupt the layout or simple tables? Many thanks, Ben.

A high version of Acrobat Reader does it May 25, 2006

Good morning

I do it by using the latest version of Acrobat reader the full version where you can highlight the text and then click copy and move on the a new page of MS Word and then click paste.

Thanks. I hope this solves the matter.

There is no good program for converting PDF to Word May 25, 2006

There is no good program for converting PDF to Word correctly to 100%. Try to ask designer (pagemaker) for help.

Adobe Acrobat Professional May 26, 2006

I use Adobe Acrobat (not Reader !) for PDF2DOC conversion, it can save PDF file in htm, doc, rtf formats. The simple layout and tables are OK after conversion. Some complicated layout features are lost, of course.

Uldis is right! SolidConverter it is. May 26, 2006

I have SolidConverter Professional version. It works wonderfully even when converting complicated forms. It offers a selection of conversion modes which allows one to choose whether to preserve the original format of the document or not. I am delighted.
Of course you can save a PDF as a doc file but at least in my experience what you get is an image and cannot work on the text. Please correct me if I am wrong and tell me the secret otherwise.
