I second Anne: -> präpontine Zisterne, and yes, I am sure that this is (again!) from an audiotape; we have many examples of this type of mistake in reports. My idea for haltend is -> erhalten (in the sense of "abgrenzbar") - is this possible?
Anne Schulz Mar 10, 2009:
Yes, likely an audiotape, but "haltend" just does not make sense. It might be another "entfaltet", but that is unusual and far away from the letters. Better ask the client.
Dawn Montague (asker) Mar 9, 2009:
What if this was typed from a audiotape by someone other than the doctor - What about "präpontine Zisterne haltend"?
Lirka Mar 9, 2009:
Could is possibly have to do something with the X-ray projection?
Anne Schulz Mar 9, 2009:
Maybe the "präpontine Zisterne", but I cannot make sense of "haltend".
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Mar 9, 2009:
Possibly. But Seitenventrikel in the next sentence is about the brain again.
Dawn Montague (asker) Mar 9, 2009:
I am also assuming it's "präpontin." It's the "Sternum" that's confusing me here :-(
I wonder if someone deleted a bunch of words in between.
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Mar 9, 2009:
präpontin = vor der Brücke des Hinterhirns liegend. Located in front of the pons cerebri. But I can't make the connection with the sternum.
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Mar 9, 2009:
Typo for präpontine?
